Work Type: Full-time About FUNDAYFUNDAY is the #1 better-for-you candy brand in Australia, on a mission to share more joy and prove that better-for-you doesn’t have to be boring! Founded in Melbourne by entrepreneur Daniel Kitay, FUNDAY reimagines nostalgic candy favorites with a natural, better-for-you twist, made with no sugar added and natural dyes and flavors. We’re proving you don’t have to compromise on taste to make a better choice. FUNDAY has grown to $100M+ in retail sales over the past year across 7,000+ stores in Australia, and in 2026 we brought FUNDAY candy to the US, launching in Target stores across the country. We’re ambitious, innovative and fun-loving, and our US story is only just getting started.
About the role:
We’re looking for a Brand Marketing Manager to build and lead FUNDAY’s marketing in the US. You’ll be our first marketing hire on the ground here, reporting to our Head of US Growth and working hand in hand with our brand, creative and social teams in Melbourne. A big part of this role is outreach. You’ll build relationships with US brands and partners we’d love to work with, and turn those conversations into collaborations, anything from a giveaway or co-marketing moment to a long-term product collab developed with our global team. This is a hands-on role for an experienced CPG marketer who loves to build. You’ll take a brand that already has a loyal following in Australia and bring it to life for American candy lovers across retail, social, creators, PR, sampling and events. You’ll own the US marketing calendar and budget day to day, make smart calls on where every dollar goes, and turn plans into results you can see on shelf and in sales. No two days will look the same! One day you might be pitching a brand collab, the next briefing creators, packing up a sampling kit or presenting results to our leadership team.
What you’ll be doing:
Own the US marketing plan and calendar, adapting FUNDAY’s global marketing strategy for the US and bringing it to life through campaigns, product launches and seasonal moments. Make smart calls on where we invest, which consumer segments we focus on and which US agency partners we work with. Lead US brand partnerships, reaching out to brands we’d love to work with, managing those conversations and bringing collaborations to life, from giveaways to long-term product collabs, partnering with our global team on larger collaborations and co-branded products. Support retail marketing with our retail partners, helping plan and execute retail media, in-store programs and digital offers, and creating the content that helps shoppers find and choose FUNDAY candy. Drive launch readiness for every new item and new distribution, making sure product pages, content, ratings and reviews, and marketing assets are ready on time. Manage FUNDAY’s US creator program, likely alongside an agency partner, while working directly with brands, agencies and creators, from product seeding and partnerships to paid amplification. Bring FUNDAY to life in person through sampling, events and brand partnerships that get candy into hands and build buzz. Partner with our Melbourne-based brand, creative, social and PR teams on campaigns, PR kits and launch storytelling, bringing local insight and creator connections so they land with US consumers while staying true to the brand. Manage US agencies, freelancers and vendors across creators, sampling, events and promotions, and partner with our global team on PR and paid media agencies, holding everyone to clear goals, timelines and budgets. Own the US marketing budget, tracking spend, raising purchase orders and making sure every investment earns its place. Measure what works, reporting on campaign performance, retail media return, sales impact and consumer feedback, and using what you learn to sharpen the next plan. Manage the logistics of marketing materials, samples and influencer kits, so sampling and event kits are always ready to go. Stay up-to-date with the latest US candy, snacking and culture trends, bringing fresh ideas to the table and spotting opportunities early.
About you:
You’ll ideally have 4-7 years of brand marketing experience, with time in CPG food, beverage or snacking. Experience at a fast-growing or emerging brand is a big plus, and so is hands-on experience marketing with major US retailers. Above all, we’re looking for someone hungry: a hustler with great energy who cares deeply about the work and knows their craft inside and out. You’ll be: A builder and generalist who takes ownership, comfortable starting from a blank page, wearing many hats and moving fast without waiting to be asked. A natural relationship builder, happy to reach out to brands and partners and turn a first conversation into a collaboration. Licensing experience is a plus, but not required. Commercially minded, with a clear understanding of how marketing drives sales at retail and confidence working with scan data, syndicated data, media dashboards and budgets. Retail savvy, with experience in retail media (such as Roundel, Walmart Connect, Amazon Ads, or TikTok Spark Ads), digital offers and launch execution at national retailers. Creatively sharp, with a great eye for content and copy and a point of view on what resonates with US consumers on social and in creator content. Exceptionally organized, able to run multiple projects, vendors and deadlines at once without anything slipping. A clear communicator and great partner, who writes well, presents with confidence and enjoys working with a team in Australia (with the occasional early morning or evening call).Curious and fun, with a love of brands, candy and pop culture and positive energy that lifts the people around you. Practical details: a bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience, authorization to work in the US, occasional travel (about 15%) for retail visits, events and team time, and the ability to lift up to 25 lbs for sampling and event kits.
What success looks like:
In your first year, FUNDAY becomes a brand American candy lovers seek out. Our launches land on time and look great, our partnerships and activations earn a strong return, our ratings and reviews show shoppers love what they’re eating, and you’ve built the US marketing playbook we’ll scale as FUNDAY grows into new retailers and channels.
