What You'll Do:
Provide general medical and critical care for hospitalized adult patients with a wide variety of acute medical conditions.
Evaluate patients upon admission and develop appropriate treatment plans.
Manage patients in the ICU and continue follow-up when ICU patients transition to the hospital floor.
Order and interpret diagnostic tests, laboratory work, and X-rays.
Diagnose and treat illnesses and diseases in the hospital setting.
Coordinate care with hospital teams and patients' primary care providers.
Communicate with patients and answer questions about diagnoses and treatment plans.
What You Need
Required:
Current New York Physician Assistant license.
AHA BLS and ACLS certifications.
Board certification.
At least 2 years of recent experience.
Epic experience.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Preferred:
Experience caring for acutely ill adult patients in an ICU or hospital setting. Experience performing or assisting with line placement procedures.
