What You'll Do:
Evaluate and manage adult patients with medical concerns in a gastroenterology and internal medicine practice setting.
Develop and implement patient care plans, including appropriate medical treatments and medication management.
Educate patients and families about preventive care, medical conditions, prescribed treatments, and medications.
Document evaluations, diagnoses, procedures, treatments, outcomes, education, referrals, and consultations in EPIC.Order and monitor diagnostic evaluations and emergency interventions as clinically appropriate.
Recognize complex or high-priority cases and coordinate consultation with collaborating physicians and other specialties.
Collaborate with physicians and healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive, evidence-based, patient-centered care.
What You Need
Required:
- Current New York State license
- Board certificationAHA BLS or RQI certification
- At least 3 years of recent experience
- Epic experience
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
Preferred:
- Experience in gastroenterology or internal medicine
- Experience caring for adults with a broad range of acute medical conditions
