Overview:
In this role you will lead timely follow-up on Managed Care/Commercial accounts to support revenue cycle efficiency. You will collaborate with health plans by phone, ensure productivity, and adhere to state collection guidelines when applicable. You will review managed care contracts and apply hospital billing knowledge to resolve accounts. This position offers exposure to payer relations within a large, mission-driven health system and opportunities to influence cash flow and contract interpretation. Responsibilities:
- Lead timely follow-up of Managed Care/Commercial accounts
- Communicate by phone with health plans
- Maintain productivity standards and reporting
- Obtain state collection guidelines when applicable
- Review managed care contracts
Key requirements:
- Minimum of four years hospital managed care/commercial collector experience
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience preferred
- Knowledge of contract interpretation
