Job Description: We are looking for an experienced Sr. Accountant to join a growing organization in Davie, Florida. This role is ideal for a finance specialist with a strong foundation in corporate reporting, month-end close, and complex accounting environments, including manufacturing and multi-entity operations. The successful candidate will play a key role in maintaining accurate financial records, supporting reporting requirements, and strengthening the overall close and consolidation process.
Responsibilities: Lead the monthly close cycle by preparing entries, reviewing account activity, and ensuring financial data is recorded accurately and on schedule. Maintain the general ledger and perform detailed balance sheet reconciliations, including cash and bank accounts, to support reliable financial reporting. Manage consolidation activities across multiple entities, including elimination entries and resolution of intercompany account differences. Support external reporting needs by contributing to schedules, documentation, and accounting analyses required in a regulated reporting environment. Partner with cross-functional teams to address cost accounting matters related to biologics manufacturing and inventory-related financial activity. Review accounting records and reporting packages to identify variances, investigate discrepancies, and recommend corrective action when needed. Assist with process improvements within the accounting function, including enhancements tied to reporting workflows and close efficiency. Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline. Proven experience in a senior-level accounting role with strong ownership of month-end close and financial statement preparation. Background in public accounting, with Big 4 experience preferred; candidates from other public accounting firms may be considered with substantial relevant experience. Hands-on knowledge of subsidiary reporting, consolidations, and intercompany reconciliation processes. Experience working in a manufacturing environment, including exposure to cost accounting within biologics or similarly complex products. Solid understanding of general ledger activity, journal entries, account reconciliations, and bank reconciliations. Familiarity with external reporting standards and exposure to SEC-related reporting is strongly preferred. CPA designation or progress toward certification is preferred.
