Job Summary:
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Junior Associate to join our Operations team. The successful candidate will support the team in ensuring smooth and efficient middle to back-office processes, contributing to the overall success of the organization.
Responsibilities:
- Assist with instrument setups, trade bookings, reconciling trading activity, resolving trade breaks for multiple accounts
- Process daily wire requests and document signature requests
- Assist with various asset classes closings and lifecycle event processing
- Assist with account openings, system related setups, connectivity with administrators and other third parties
- Handle various KYC requests and audit inquires
- Support the month-end close, reconciliations and reporting
- Collaborate across internal teams, including the finance, compliance, analytics, software, legal, IR, and investment teams
- Collaborate externally with fund administrators, vendors and other service providers in the course of daily cash and position reconciliations, file processing, and process improvement
- Support adherence to internal controls and compliance protocols through rules maintenance
Familiarity with various financial asset classes such as equities, fixed income, derivatives, and alternative investments.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in finance or accounting, or a related field.
- Team player with the ability to take direction
- Strong organizational skills with an attention to detail
- An ability to multi-task & prioritize effectively
- Ability to work efficiently with minimum supervision
- Strong oral and written communication skills
- Professional, calm, pleasant, and friendly demeanor
Experience:
- At least 2 years experience required in a business environment
- Strong working knowledge of Excel, Bloomberg
- Experience in a hedge fund or financial firm preferred
