Apply for this role (opens in a new tab)FP&A Manager Our client, a financial services firm, is seeking an FP&A Manager to lead budgeting, forecasting and performance reporting, and to give senior leadership the analysis it needs to make decisions on growth, cost and capital. They are in the office 3 days per week.
Responsibilities:
- Manage the annual budget and periodic forecasts, working with business line leaders and finance partners
- Build and maintain financial models that track revenue, expenses, profitability and key performance indicators
- Analyze monthly results against budget and prior periods, and explain the drivers behind variances
- Prepare management reporting and presentations for senior leadership, the executive committee and the board
- Track expense trends, identify cost drivers and recommend efficiency opportunities
- Support strategic initiatives, new business evaluation and ad hoc analysis for senior management
- Improve planning and reporting processes through automation, better data quality and system enhancements
- Supervise, train and develop junior analysts
Requirements:
- 8+ years of experience in FP&A, corporate finance or management reporting, ideally in banking, asset management, insurance or another financial services setting
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics or a related field; CPA, CFA or MBA a plus
- Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial statements
- Advanced Excel and financial modeling skills, plus polished PowerPoint presentation skills
- Experience with planning or reporting tools (e.g., Hyperion, Anaplan, Adaptive, Power BI or Tableau) is a plus
- Clear written and verbal communicator who can present to senior leaders
- Highly organized and detail-oriented, comfortable meeting deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Prior experience managing or mentoring staff preferred
