Underwriter - Group Accident

Basic Qualifications: High School Diploma or Equivalent and 1 or more years of experience in an Underwriting or Market Facing area. OR High School Diploma or Equivalent and 2 or more years of experience in a Claims or Underwriting Support area. AND Knowledge of the insurance industry and the legal and regulatory environment Knowledge of underwriting philosophy, techniques, national/local filing regulations and guidelines

Preferred Qualifications: Bachelors Degree with 1 or more years of experience in an Underwriting or Market Facing area; or Bachelors Degree with 2 or more years of experience in a Claims or Underwriting support area Ability to collaborate effectively in a team-based environment, contribute to shared goals, and build productive working relationships with colleagues and business partners Ability to follow established guidelines and principles while exercising sound judgment to resolve ambiguous or non-routine situations as needed Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey information clearly, professionally, and effectively to internal and external stakeholders Attention to detail and commitment to accuracy when reviewing information, preparing documentation, and completing work within established requirements Proficiency with Microsoft Office & Excel, including the ability to organize, analyze, and present information efficiently Your pay at Zurich is based on your role, location, skills, and experience. We follow local laws to ensure fair compensation. You may also be eligible for bonuses and merit increases. The proposed Salary range for this position is $60,000.00 - $95,000.00, with short-term incentive bonus eligibility set at 10%.
