Apply advanced scientific reasoning to distinguish between legitimate research and actionable biological threats
Perform quality assurance on casework by Junior Specialists and lead calibration sessions for consistencyRequired qualificationsAdvanced Degree (Master's or Ph.D.) in Microbiology, Virology, Molecular Biology, or related discipline
5+ years of professional experience in biodefense, biosecurity policy, or BSL-3 laboratory operations
Deep technical familiarity with high-consequence pathogens and toxin production pathways
Proven ability to discern benign scientific inquiries from illicit activities
Strong technical writing skills for summarizing complex microbiological mechanisms
