Operate a 4th axis mill. Perform First Part Inspections for all lathe and mill operations. Working knowledge of manufacturing principals, basic shop math, and basic blueprint reading. Ability to change most machine set ups and update master programming and set up data sheets. Previous experience in Lean Manufacturing implementation and production systems preferred.

The Production Engineer plays a critical role in ensuring the efficiency, effectiveness, and compliance of manufacturing and packaging processes.. · Provide engineering support to production, including floor support, non-conforming product investigations, CAPA, risk assessments, and process changes.. Hold a strong presence in production areas to drive Lean Manufacturing principles through Daily Management System Coordination, Coaching/Training of Lean Principles, Poka-yoke, and hosting Kaizen Events.. The role routinely uses standard manufacturing equipment such as mixers, heating and cooling vessels, pumps, scales, fill lines, conveyors, computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets, and other misc.. o HSA, HRA, and Day Care Assistance Plans

Help update project budgets and performance projections providing feedback to appropriate teams regarding timeliness of materials and order fulfillment, traveler release, and efficiency of fabrication.. Participate in process improvement activities including 5S, Value Stream Mapping, and Kaizen events.. Experience with a variety of components, including sheet metal parts, machined parts, hardware and fasteners, electromechanical components, and subassemblies is required.. Ability to read and interpret a variety of technical specifications, government regulations, quality requirements, purchase orders, kitting lists, and other documents required to plan and execute project activities.. Prior training in Lean Manufacturing, Continuous Improvement, or work experience in a Lean environment is highly desirable.
