Apply for this role (opens in a new tab)Our client, a publicly traded global asset manager, is seeking an attorney with at least 3 years of experience to join its Regulatory & International Legal team, reporting directly to the Head of Regulatory & International Legal. The firm’s international fund business is growing rapidly. This is an excellent opportunity to build a hands-on international funds practice within a close-knit team, under a manager known for training and mentoring. The role focuses on the firm’s non-U.S. funds, primarily UCITS/SICAV structures, across their full lifecycle: Maintaining prospectuses, supplements and KID/KIID disclosures Supporting new funds, share classes and other product changes Drafting and negotiating distribution and intermediary agreements Coordinating cross-border fund registrations with external counsel Supporting fund boards, including meeting materials, minutes and resolutions Over time, the attorney will have the opportunity to expand into the team’s broader international work. That includes global regulatory change, cross-border distribution, licensing, ESG and sustainable-investment regulation, and privacy and data protection. The role works closely with Compliance, fund administration, external counsel and colleagues in Ireland, the UK, Japan and Hong Kong. Candidates should have outstanding academic and professional credentials. Experience in one or more of the following is strongly preferred: UCITS or other non-U.S. funds Fund maintenance and offering documents Cross-border fund registration and distribution Distribution and intermediary agreements Fund governance Strong corporate or financial services regulatory associates with transferable experience and a genuine interest in this work will also be considered. Experience limited solely to fund formation is not a fit. The role is ideal for a highly organized attorney who enjoys hands-on, varied work and is excited to develop a long-term international asset management practice.
Compensation:
$200,000–$250,000 base salary, plus discretionary annual bonus, restricted stock and a comprehensive benefits package. The position is based in Midtown Manhattan with a four-day in-office schedule. Hours are consistently reasonable, offering sophisticated, high-impact work with a more sustainable lifestyle than private practice.
