What You’ll Be Doing: As a Junior Nuclear Planner, you will work under the guidance of Senior Planners to prepare work packages, build schedules, and coordinate maintenance, engineering, and operations activities. This role is focused on learning plant processes, maintaining strict safety and quality standards, and developing foundational nuclear planning expertise. Work Package Preparation:
  • Review drawings, procedures, and technical specifications to build clear, accurate basic work packages and material requests.
  • Scope & Resource Verification:
  • Verify job scopes, material availability, and resource needs to support seamless task execution and schedule adherence.
  • Schedule & Process Support:
  • Assist in building and updating project schedules using tools like MS Project, Primavera P6, Jira, or Smartsheet across Waterfall and Agile frameworks.
  • Cross-Functional Coordination:
  • Collaborate closely with maintenance, engineering, procurement, and operations teams to facilitate daily activities and track project milestones.
  • Process Mapping & Optimization:
  • Support process documentation in Confluence and participate in continuous improvement initiatives (e.g., Lean/Kaizen, root cause analysis).System & Documentation Maintenance:
  • Maintain precise records in project management and enterprise systems (such as SAP, Oracle, or Maximo) while maintaining rigorous nuclear safety and quality standards.
  • What You Bring to the Role
  • Educational Foundation:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Project Management, or a related technical field.
  • Technical Eye:
  • Aptitude for reviewing technical drawings, verifying resource needs, and building structured work packages.
  • Planning Tools:
  • Hands-on comfort with project software like Primavera P6, MS Project, or Jira, plus strong Excel skills.
  • Adaptability & Initiative:
  • Eagerness to learn plant processes, support Lean/Kaizen efforts, and work within enterprise platforms (SAP, Oracle).Team-Oriented Leadership:
  • Experience guiding small team activities or projects is a welcome bonus.
  • On-Site Availability:
  • Fully on-site commitment to collaborate directly with maintenance and operations teams.
