Summary: We are seeking an experienced Manufacturing Manager to lead production operations in our high-mix, precision contract manufacturing facility. This role is responsible for ensuring safety, quality, on-time delivery, and operational excellence while developing a culture of accountability and continuous improvement. What You'll Do: Lead Manufacturing OperationsOversee daily production activities to ensure customer commitments are met. Drive on-time delivery, quality, and productivity across manufacturing operations. Identify and eliminate production bottlenecks while maximizing resource utilization. Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and operational standards. Develop and Inspire TeamsLead and mentor production supervisors, leads, machinists, and operators. Build a culture focused on teamwork, accountability, and continuous improvement. Conduct performance reviews and support employee development initiatives. Foster employee engagement and retention through strong leadership and communication. Drive Operational ExcellenceTranslate customer demand into executable production plans. Monitor key manufacturing metrics including throughput, machine utilization, labor efficiency, and schedule attainment. Reduce downtime, setup times, scrap, and other non-value-added activities. Implement Lean Manufacturing and continuous improvement initiatives. Collaborate Across the OrganizationPartner with Engineering, Quality, Supply Chain, and Program Management teams to support customer requirements. Drive root-cause analysis and corrective actions for recurring production issues. Support customer audits, site visits, and new product introductions. Provide operational updates and performance reports to senior leadership. What You BringRequired QualificationsBachelor's degree in Manufacturing, Industrial Engineering, Business, or a related field, or equivalent experience. 7+ years of manufacturing leadership experience. Experience in contract manufacturing, precision machining, aerospace, medical device, or similar industries. Proven success managing high-mix, low-to-medium volume manufacturing environments.
Preferred Skills: Strong knowledge of CNC machining and manufacturing processes. Experience with ERP/MRP systems and production planning. Understanding of Lean Manufacturing, OEE, and continuous improvement methodologies. Excellent leadership, coaching, communication, and problem-solving skills. Ability to lead teams in a fast-paced, customer-focused environment.
