We are seeking an experienced Neurosurgeonto provide comprehensive onsite neurosurgical care to Veterans at Healthcare facility. This long-term contract opportunity offers the chance to work alongside a dedicated multidisciplinary medical team while providing high-quality clinical, surgical, inpatient, and on-call care. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in neurological surgery and be committed to delivering patient-centered care, clinical excellence, and continuous quality improvement.
Key Responsibilities: Provideoutpatient neurosurgical consultations, evaluations, and follow-up care. Perform neurosurgical procedures, includingcranial and spinal surgeries .Manage intraoperative patient care and provide postoperative rounding in theSICU and inpatient wards .Conduct inpatient neurosurgical consultations, including bedside evaluations for non-ambulatory patients. Develop treatment plans and coordinate care with multidisciplinary medical teams. Provide patients and families withdischarge education, treatment instructions, and follow-up planning .Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation in the(EMR) .Participate inMorbidity & Mortality (M&M) conferencesand quality improvement initiatives. Collaborate with physicians, nursing staff, and other healthcare professionals to ensure continuity of care. Provide24/7 neurosurgical call coverageas required.
Schedule & Call Requirements: Monday–Friday:7:00 AM–5:00 PM onsite clinical and OR coverage. Inpatient rounding as needed, On-Call 24/7 neurosurgical call coverage as required, Telephone Response: Within 15 minutes, Onsite Response: Within 60 minutes when required.
Required Qualifications: Board Eligible or Board Certified inNeurological Surgery / Neurosurgery .Valid and unrestricted medical license/certification appropriate for the practice location. Ability to meet VA facility credentialing and privileging requirements.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • 1+ year of experience in Neurological Surgery / Neurosurgery .Experience performing spinal and cranial neurosurgical procedures.
  • Experience providing inpatient, outpatient, operative, and emergency neurosurgical care.
  • Strong communication and interdisciplinary collaboration skills.
