Under the direction of the Director of Utilities, the Water Treatment Division Manager oversees the daily operation, maintenance, staffing, safety, and regulatory compliance of the Water Treatment Plant and related facilities. This position supervises plant personnel, monitors treatment processes and SCADA data, coordinates maintenance and operational projects, manages supplies and training, prepares reports and budgets, and works with City departments, contractors, and regulatory agencies to ensure the safe and reliable delivery of potable water.
Job Requirements:
High School Diploma or GED required; college coursework in science, engineering, or management preferred. Five (5) years of experience operating a surface water treatment plant, including at least one (1) year of supervisory experience. Working knowledge of water treatment operations, maintenance, regulatory requirements, SCADA systems, plant automation, and safety procedures. Ability to supervise employees, coordinate projects, prepare reports and budgets, and interpret construction plans. Valid Texas Driver’s License required. TCEQ Class “A” Surface Water License required, or ability to obtain within the timeframe established by the department. Must be available for 24-hour emergency call.
