Position Overview:
A private family office is seeking a highly analytical accounting and operations professional to support the financial, investment, and administrative activities of a sophisticated multi-entity organization. The position will work closely with senior leadership and external advisors and will have broad responsibility across accounting, financial reporting, investment operations, cash management, and process oversight.
Responsibilities:
Manage accounting and financial reporting for family office entities, investments, and operating companies. Prepare and review financial statements, management reporting, budgets, forecasts, and cash-flow analyses. Coordinate with external accountants, tax advisors, investment managers, banks, and other service providers. Reconcile investment accounts, bank accounts, capital activity, and intercompany transactions. Monitor cash movements, capital calls, distributions, and liquidity requirements. Support investment operations, including trade settlements, portfolio reporting, and performance data. Maintain accurate records across multiple entities and ensure timely completion of monthly and year-end close processes. Identify opportunities to improve accounting, reporting, and operational processes through technology and automation. Assist senior leadership with ad hoc financial analysis and strategic projects.
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline from a highly regarded university; preference for candidates from top-tier undergraduate or graduate programs. Master’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is preferred.3–5 years of experience in accounting, audit, investment operations, fund accounting, private equity, asset management, family office, or a related financial-services environment. Strong understanding of GAAP, financial statements, reconciliations, and general ledger accounting. Experience working with multiple legal entities and complex financial structures. Advanced Excel and financial modeling capabilities. Exceptional attention to detail and ability to identify discrepancies and resolve issues independently. Strong written and verbal communication skills and ability to work directly with senior executives and external advisors. High degree of discretion and professionalism when handling confidential financial information. Ability to manage multiple priorities in a hands-on, entrepreneurial environment.
