Senior Software Engineer, Lyft Business

Key Responsibilities: Write well-crafted, well-tested, readable, maintainable code Explain the trade-offs made in technical decisions Participate in code reviews to ensure code quality and distribute knowledge Implement tasks with high-quality code leading to positive execution Participate in resolving ongoing incidents and unblock, support, and communicate effectively within the team

Requirements: 5+ years of software engineering experience, with a track record of designing and shipping production systems at scale Strong system design instincts — reasoning through distributed systems trade-offs, failure modes, and architecture choices Practical experience with AI development to improve product experiences Hands-on experience with large-scale, fault-tolerant distributed systems in a cloud environment (AWS, GCP, or Azure)

Salary: $148,000–$185,000 per year
