Industrial Millwright Journeyperson

General Motors is seeking a Millwright Journeyperson to support our advanced automotive manufacturing operations. In this role, you will install, align, repair and maintain complex production machinery, conveyors and support systems used to build vehicles and EV components. You will troubleshoot mechanical, hydraulic and pneumatic issues, perform preventive and predictive maintenance and support equipment upgrades. Working in a safety‑first, inclusive environment, you’ll collaborate with cross‑functional teams to improve reliability and uptime while learning and applying new technologies that power the future of transportation. Install, align and commission industrial machinery, conveyors and production equipment. Diagnose and repair mechanical, hydraulic and pneumatic equipment failures to minimize downtime. Perform preventive and predictive maintenance per GM standards and schedules. Read and interpret blueprints, mechanical drawings and equipment manuals. Fabricate, weld and modify components to support equipment upgrades and repairs. Use precision tools to align, level and balance rotating and stationary equipment. Collaborate with engineers, electricians and production teams to improve equipment reliability. Follow all GM safety procedures, including lockout/tagout and hazard reporting. Document maintenance activities in CMMS and support root cause analysis of failures. Support continuous improvement, equipment upgrades and new technology installations.
