Pool Store - Retail Sales Associate

Key Responsibilities: Water Testing & Analysis: Perform precise water testing (pH, chlorine, alkalinity, calcium hardness, cyanuric acid, etc.). Explain results clearly to customers and provide expert treatment recommendations. Customer Consultations: Engage with customers to understand their pool/spa needs and provide tailored product recommendations for chemicals, equipment, and accessories. Sales Operations: Process transactions accurately and efficiently using the POS system. Proactively upsell complementary products to maximize sales opportunities. Inventory & Merchandising: Maintain an organized and visually appealing sales floor by restocking shelves and arranging merchandise. Assist with inventory counts and receiving shipments. Maintenance & Support: Fill chlorine jugs for customers. Assist with opening and closing procedures, including bank deposits.

Experience: Minimum 1–2 years of experience in the pool industry. Technical Knowledge: Strong understanding of water chemistry and pool equipment systems (pumps, motors, chlorinators).

Physical Requirements: Ability to lift and carry heavy items up to 50 lbs regularly. Ability to stand for extended periods.

Soft Skills: Excellent communication, active listening, and problem-solving skills. Proactive, detail-oriented, and dependable. Certification: Certified Pool Operator (CPO) certification is a significant plus. Availability: Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays.
