Join our Preschool Education team as a Long-Term Substitute Special Education Teacher. You’ll lead classroom instruction, support individualized student goals, and work alongside a team dedicated to helping children learn, grow, and succeed.
What You’ll Be Doing:
- Plan and deliver individualized classroom instruction
- Support students’ educational and behavioral goals
- Implement and monitor Individualized Educational Program objectives
- Work closely with families and other education professionals
- Provide direction and support to Teacher Assistants and AidesCreate a positive, supportive learning environment
- Do You Qualify?
You must meetONEof the following: Option 1:Bachelor’s degree in special education or a related fieldOROption 2:Current New York State Teaching Assistant CertificationANDyou are currently: Working toward NYS Special Education Teacher Certification, orEnrolled in an accredited Teacher Certification Program Candidates should also be comfortable working with and supporting children with developmental disabilities.
