Inpatient Rehabilitation Nurse Manager

Encompass Health seeks a Nurse Manager for our Healthcare & Medical Services department. In this leadership role, you will oversee nursing operations in an inpatient rehabilitation setting, ensuring safe, high-quality, and patient-centered care. Responsibilities include supervising and mentoring nursing staff, coordinating interdisciplinary care plans, managing staffing and scheduling, supporting regulatory compliance, and driving quality improvement initiatives. The ideal candidate is a Registered Nurse with strong clinical judgment, rehab or acute care experience, and proven leadership skills in a dynamic, nurturing environment focused on excellent outcomes. Oversee daily nursing operations in an inpatient rehabilitation unit Supervise, coach, and evaluate nursing and support staff Coordinate interdisciplinary care plans to ensure patient-centered rehab Manage staffing, scheduling, and resource allocation Ensure compliance with regulatory and accreditation standards Monitor quality metrics and lead performance improvement initiatives Collaborate with physicians and therapists to optimize patient outcomes Support staff education, competency validation, and onboarding Promote a safe, nurturing, and patient-focused work environment Engage with patients and families to support education and discharge planning Inpatient rehabilitation nursing Clinical assessment and critical thinking Nursing staff supervision and leadership Care planning and care coordination Electronic Health Record (EHR) documentation Patient and family education Quality improvement and performance metrics Regulatory and accreditation compliance Wound care and medication administration Interdisciplinary team collaboration Medical Insurance Dental Insurance Vision Insurance Life Insurance 401k Active RN license in state of practice BLS (Basic Life Support) certification ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) preferred Certification in rehabilitation nursing (CRRN) preferred Prior leadership/charge nurse experience in inpatient or acute care
