Company Description: Attune Neurosciences, Inc. is a clinical-stage medical device company focused on enhancing human health and performance through clinically validated neurotechnology. The organization develops non-invasive neurostimulation products designed to safely and effectively modulate brain activity. Attune operates at the intersection of neuroscience, engineering, and digital health to translate cutting-edge research into practical solutions. Team members collaborate across disciplines to bring innovative devices from concept through clinical evaluation and into real-world use.
Role Description: The Senior Computer Vision Engineer will design, implement, and optimize computer vision algorithms for neurostimulation monitoring systems. Day-to-day responsibilities include developing real-time image and video processing pipelines, building robust pattern recognition models, and integrating computer vision components with hardware and software platforms used in clinical and product environments. This role will collaborate closely with data scientists, hardware engineers, and neuroscientists to define requirements, validate models, and ensure accuracy, reliability, and safety of vision-based features. The engineer will also contribute to system architecture decisions, code reviews, documentation, and continuous performance improvements. This is a full-time, on-site role based in San Francisco, CA.Qualifications Strong foundation in Computer Vision and Pattern Recognition, with experience designing and deploying vision models in real-time or near real-time systems. Background in Computer Science and Data Science, including proficiency in algorithms, data structures, linear algebra, statistical modeling, and machine learning. Proficiency in relevant programming languages and frameworks (e.g., Python, C/C++, OpenCV, PyTorch/TensorFlow) and modern software development practices. Bachelor's, Master’s or PhD in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience. Experience building production-grade systems, optimizing performance on embedded or edge devices, and working with version control and CI/CD tools. Ability to collaborate in a multidisciplinary environment, communicate technical concepts clearly, and document designs and results thoroughly. Experience in medical devices, digital health, neuroscience, or regulated environments (e.g., ISO, FDA) is a plus.
