Responsibilities:
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES Develop and maintain strong relationships with commercial property owners, facilitymanagers, property management companies, general contractors, building engineers, andexisting customers. Identify and pursue new commercial plumbing service and maintenance opportunities. Generate new business through networking, cold calling, referrals, site visits, existingrelationships, and other business development activities. Conduct commercial property and job-site visits to evaluate plumbing systems andidentify service, repair, replacement, and maintenance needs. Review plumbing service reports and technician recommendations to identify additionalsales opportunities. Work closely with service technicians, plumbers, estimators, project managers, andmanagement to develop appropriate solutions for customers. Prepare accurate proposals, estimates, scopes of work, and service agreements. Present proposals to customers and conduct timely follow-up to secure approved work. Sell commercial plumbing preventive maintenance agreements and service contracts. Identify opportunities for plumbing system repairs, replacements, upgrades, andimprovements. Develop proposals for commercial plumbing equipment and system replacements. Maintain an active sales pipeline and consistently pursue qualified opportunities. Track leads, customer communications, proposals, follow-ups, and sales activity. Negotiate pricing and contract terms within company guidelines. Coordinate with the Service Department to ensure sold work is properly communicatedand scheduled. Maintain professional communication with customers throughout the sales and serviceprocess. Participate in customer meetings, site walks, bid meetings, inspections, and pre-construction meetings as needed. Develop relationships with general contractors, property management companies, facilitymanagement teams, and commercial building owners. Monitor competitive activity and commercial plumbing market conditions. Attend networking events, trade associations, and industry functions to develop newbusiness. Provide regular sales forecasts, pipeline updates, and activity reports to management. Ensure all customer documentation and sales information is complete and accurate. Perform other duties as assigned by management. COMMERCIAL PLUMBING KNOWLEDGEThe successful candidate should have a strong working knowledge of commercial plumbingsystems and be able to understand and discuss customer needs involving: Domestic water systems Hot and cold-water systems Sanitary sewer systems Storm drainage systems Commercial water heaters Boilers and associated plumbing systems Pumps and circulation systems Backflow prevention systems Grease traps and interceptors Sump and sewage ejector systems Commercial restroom plumbing Plumbing fixtures and equipment Piping systems and replacements Drain and sewer services Leak detection and repair Preventive plumbing maintenance Commercial plumbing renovations and upgrades The representative should be able to understand technician findings and translate technicalrecommendations into clear, professional, customer-focused proposals. QUALIFICATIONS 3+ years of experience in commercial plumbing sales, plumbing service, estimating, or business development preferred. Strong knowledge of commercial plumbing systems and service operations. Proven ability to develop and maintain commercial customer relationships. Experience selling commercial plumbing service, repairs, maintenance agreements, replacements, or related services preferred. Strong estimating and proposal-writing skills. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Strong negotiation and presentation abilities. Ability to read and understand plumbing service reports, equipment information, drawings, and scopes of work. Strong organizational and time-management skills. Self-motivated and able to work independently. Proficiency with Microsoft Office and CRM/sales tracking software. valid driver license and acceptable driving record. Ability to travel regularly to commercial customer locations and job sites.
BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT RESPONSIBILITIES:
The Commercial Plumbing Service Sales Representative will be responsible for actively growingthe company’s commercial customer base by: Prospecting for new commercial accounts. Establishing relationships with facility managers and property management companies. Developing relationships with general contractors and commercial construction contacts. Following up on leads and inactive accounts. Identifying additional service opportunities within existing accounts. Promoting preventive maintenance agreements. Pursuing recurring service and maintenance contracts. Developing opportunities for larger plumbing repairs and equipment replacements. Maintaining consistent customer contact and follow-up. PERFORMANCE EXPECTATIONSThe Commercial Plumbing Service Sales Representative will be expected to: Meet or exceed established sales goals. Generate new commercial plumbing business. Maintain and expand existing commercial accounts. Maintain an accurate and active sales pipeline. Submit timely and accurate proposals. Follow up consistently on all qualified opportunities. Generate profitable service, repair, maintenance, and replacement work. Maintain strong customer relationships. Work collaboratively with the Service and Operations teams. Represent Temp Air Company professionally at all times. Ability to walk commercial job sites and inspect plumbing equipment and systems. Ability to climb stairs and access mechanical rooms, utility areas, rooftops, and otherequipment locations when required. Ability to work in varying weather and job-site conditions.
