We're seeking an experienced RF Field Service Technician with a background in two-way radio and Land Mobile Radio (LMR) systems who thrives on solving complex technical challenges, enjoys collaborating with cross-functional teams, and takes pride in serving customers who depend on secure, mission-critical communications.
What You'll Do:
Install, optimize, and maintain mission-critical communication systems at customer sites, including hardware and software upgrades and preventative maintenance. Monitor and troubleshoot system performance, diagnosing and resolving issues quickly, including in high-pressure scenarios. Use specialized test equipment (Communications Systems Analyzers, watt meters, Antenna Systems Analyzers, ethernet testers, etc.) to validate and optimize system performance. Partner with Project Managers, Engineers, Sales, and Public Safety stakeholders to design and deploy Motorola Solutions systems. Document work with precision to maintain accurate system history and support future optimization. Provide technical training and mentorship to internal teams and customers.
What We're Looking For:
Experience with VHF, UHF, and 700/800 MHz public safety radio systems, including MOTOTRBO (Capacity Plus, Capacity Max, and IP Site Connect).Hands-on experience with P25 systems, RF systems, or wired/wireless network and IT systems integration. Familiarity with 911/NG911, NICE logging systems, Airbus, or similar infrastructure. Intermediate networking knowledge: LAN/WAN, routers, switches, bridges, cabling, and IP configuration. Ability to work independently in the field with high accountability. Strong communication and collaboration skills with technical teams and customer stakeholders.
Required Qualifications:
Associate's Degree in Electronics, IT, or Engineering Technology, or relevant work experience. CET or GCT Certification (or ability to obtain within 6 months).Clean driving record and ability to travel within assigned territory. U.S. citizenship with ability to pass and maintain background checks and security clearances.
Preferred Qualifications:
Valid FCC License. Relevant industry certifications.
