Freight Broker

Key Responsibilities: Arrange transportation and manage the movement of freight from origin to destination. Identify and qualify carriers, negotiate rates, and secure capacity for shipments. Build and maintain relationships with shippers and carriers to ensure repeat business and foster long-term partnerships. Negotiate rates with carriers and ensure competitive pricing for shippers. Prepare shipping documents, contracts, and ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements. Address and resolve issues related to transportation delays, freight damage, and other logistics challenges. Monitor shipment progress, provide updates to clients, and maintain accurate records of all transactions. Keep abreast of market trends, industry developments, and competitive landscape to provide strategic insights.

Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business, or a related field preferred. Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in freight brokerage, logistics, or a related field. Strong negotiation and sales skills. Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities. Proficiency in transportation management software and Microsoft Office Suite. Ability to multitask and manage time effectively. Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
