The Merrimack County Department of Corrections serves the community and its criminal justice system by providing security, supervision, and assistance to persons remanded to our custody. Our policy is to meet or exceed the standards set by the American Correctional Association, the National Commission of Correctional Healthcare, the New Hampshire Association of Counties, and the Merrimack County Board of Commissioners. The Administrator of Programs and Services provides, implements, and facilitates educational programs, work details, pre-employment preparation, and jail industries to offenders under the supervision of the Merrimack County Department of Corrections. https://www.governmentjobs.com/careers/Merrimack/classspecs Possession of a Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university with major course work in criminal justice, social services, counseling or related field. Five years’ supervisory experience in corrections or criminal justice field, or any equivalent combination of education and experience which demonstrates possession of the required knowledge, skills and abilities. Licensed Alcohol and Drug Abuse Counselor (LADC) in the State of New Hampshire required. Possession of a valid New Hampshire Driver’s License. Must completed required background and pre-employment screening.
