SDET Engineer - Canada

Job Description: We are currently seeking a highly skilled and experienced Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET) Engineer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in automation testing, test planning, and execution, ensuring the delivery of high-quality software solutions to our customers.

Responsibilities: 1. Test Case Design:- Develop detailed, clear, and comprehensive test cases based on product requirements, user stories, and design specifications.2. Test Execution:

• Execute test cases across different platforms, environments, and configurations.
• Identify defects, document issues, and drive their resolution in collaboration with cross-functional teams.3. Automation:
• Design and implement automated test scripts to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of regression testing.
• Experience with test framework specific to Microservices written in Typescript is a huge plus.4. Defect Management:- Manage the defect lifecycle, including accurate bug reporting, tracking, and verification of bug fixes.5. Collaboration:
• Work closely with development, QA, and product teams to understand requirements and identify testing gaps.
• Ensure the highest quality standards are met throughout the development process.6. Continuous Improvement:
• Contribute to the enhancement of testing processes, methodologies, and best practices.
• Stay up to date with industry trends and emerging technologies.7. Documentation:- Create and maintain comprehensive documentation related to test cases, test plans, test results, and other testing-related artifacts.

Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in computer science, Engineering, or a related field. Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Test Engineer or in a similar role. Strong knowledge of STLC and manual testing, test case design, and test execution. Proficiency in test automation tools and frameworks (e.g., Cypress, Night watch, etc.).Hands-on experience with scripting languages (e.g. Javascript) for automation purposes. Should have basic knowledge of Jenkins, GitHub. Experience with performance testing tools (e.g., JMeter, LoadRunner) is a plus. Knowledge of the software development life cycle (SDLC) and agile methodologies. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with meticulous attention to detail. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
