Material Handler

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Safely operation material handling equipment such as sit-down fork trucks; order pickers, and pallet jacks to move items between receiving, storage, and the production areas Locate materials and supplies by pulling and verifying materials and supplies listed on production orders Deliver materials to workstations as requested and remove finished goods or scrap from areas in a timely manner Maintain a clean, organized, and safe warehouse environment, ensuring aisles are clear and materials are stored in designated locations Maintains inventory by identifying, labeling, and keeping materials and supplies in stock, recording location of inventory, and reporting shortages Maintain daily maintenance checks of fork trucks including compliance with end of shift requirements i.e. 5S checklists, charging of equipment, etc. Strictly adhere to all facility safety protocols, including wearing PPE and following safe lifting and equipment operation guidelines Collaborate with team members to identify process improvements and increase efficiency Assist with other Shipping/Receiving/Packaging activities as needed EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE High School diploma or equivalent Previous experience in a shipping, receiving, or warehouse role within a manufacturing environment Ability to read and comprehend work instructions, manuals, and other written correspondence Proficiency with basic computer systems and inventory management software Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accuracy under pressure Strong communication skills, delivering thoughts and ideas clearly both written and verbally Experience operating powered industrial trucks (e.g. forklifts) We consider several job-related, non-discriminatory factors when determining the pay rate for a position, including, but not limited to, the position's responsibilities, a candidate's work experience, a candidate's education/training, the position's location, and the key skills needed for the position.
