Key Responsibilities: Database Migration & ModernizationAssess existing SQL Server databases for migration readinessPlan and execute migrations between versions and platformsSupport on-premises and cloud-based database transitionsPerform schema conversions, data transformations, and validationEnsure minimal downtime and data integrity during migrationsCoordinate with application, infrastructure, and vendor teamsDatabase Administration & SupportInstall, configure, maintain, and monitor SQL Server environmentsManage Backup and Restore strategies (full, differential, transactional) Optimize database performance and tuningTroubleshoot production database issuesSecurity & ComplianceManage roles, permissions, and access controlImplement encryption and database security best practicesSupport compliance with state IT standards and regulationsImplement Transparent Data Encryption (TDE) (preferred)
