Missions As the head of the radiological surveillance laboratory, you determine the organization and functioning of the service and apply the quality policy. To do this, you: Participate in the management and evaluation of personnel. Contribute to the development of the equipment plan and the monitoring of the operating budget. Fill in the official radiological surveillance documents. Participate in the writing of annual sampling programs and synthesis reports in accordance with regulatory texts. You are also the technical responsible party of the "radiological surveillance" technical unit according to the NF EN ISO/CEI 17025 standard and in particular: Carry out technical validation and/or approval of test reports. Supervise and validate new sampling or analysis methods. Are responsible for the follow-up of aptitude tests organized by the Nuclear Safety and Radiation Protection Authority (ASNR), the IARMA (International Atomic Reference Matérial Agency), the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA), etc. You manage the sealed and unsealed sources of LASEM/LSR on behalf of the competent person in radiation protection of the Brest naval base. You may also be required to carry out programmed or unprogrammed analyses for the radiological surveillance of the Brest site environment in a regulatory framework as well as to welcome and supervise interns and trainees. Profile Sought Graduated from a master's degree or equivalent in nuclear physics, experience in radiological environmental analysis laboratories is required: you are comfortable with radiological analysis techniques such as gamma spectrometry, alpha/beta counting, liquid scintillation beta measurement, radiochemical treatment methods of samples as well as with the sampling and physico-chemical treatment methods of environmental samples. You have good knowledge in radioecology and you have successful managerial experience. You like to work in a team and have a sense of mission.
