Collaborate directly with advisors, CPAs, attorneys, and other professionals to influence client outcomes. Contribute to the development of internal planning resources and strategic processes. What You’ll Own Analyze individual, corporate, partnership, and trust tax returns to identify planning opportunities and risks. Develop multi-year tax strategies aligned with clients’ financial, business, and estate planning objectives. Model tax and financial outcomes to evaluate planning alternatives and recommendations. Support clients through business sales, recapitalizations, and other liquidity events. Evaluate opportunities related to entity structuring, executive compensation, charitable planning, real estate, and wealth transfer. Research emerging tax strategies and assess technical validity, implementation requirements, and risk factors. Monitor federal and state tax law changes and translate developments into actionable planning recommendations. Present complex tax concepts to clients and professional partners in a practical, understandable manner. Maintain detailed documentation of recommendations, assumptions, risks, and follow-up actions. Must-Haves Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Taxation, Finance, or a related field. Experience analyzing individual, corporate, partnership, and trust tax returns. Strong background in advanced tax planning for high-net-worth individuals, families, or business owners. Knowledge of entity taxation, business-owner planning, estate and trust taxation, charitable planning, and liquidity-event planning. Ability to evaluate tax strategies from both technical and practical perspectives. Strong research, financial modeling, analytical, and critical-thinking skills. Experience collaborating with external advisors, including CPAs and attorneys.
Nice to Have: CPA, JD, LLM in Taxation, or other advanced tax credential. Five or more years of tax planning, advisory, or strategic consulting experience. Experience with closely held businesses and complex ownership structures. Exposure to estate planning, wealth transfer strategies, and trust administration. Experience supporting clients through mergers, acquisitions, business sales, or recapitalization events. Background developing technical resources, planning processes, or client education materials.
