Apply for this role →Student Worker - Athletics Ticket Office (Work-Study) The Athletics Ticket Office Work-Study Student Assistant provides outstanding customer service while supporting the daily operations of the Athletics Ticket Office. This position assists with ticket sales, game-day operations, customer inquiries, and administrative tasks to ensure a positive experience for fans, students, alumni, and guests. Student employees serve as ambassadors for the Athletics Department by demonstrating professionalism, reliability, and excellent customer service.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Sell tickets for athletic events using the department's ticketing system.
Process cash, credit card, and electronic payments accurately.
Assist customers in person, by phone, and via email with ticket purchases, event information, and seating questions.
Support game-day ticket operations, including will-call distribution, ticket scanning, and customer assistance.
Help organize and stock ticket office supplies.
Follow NCAA, conference, university, and Athletics Department policies and procedures.
Perform other duties as assigned by the Ticket Office staff.
Qualifications:
Eligible for Federal Work-Study employment.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Excellent customer service and problem-solving abilities.
Basic computer proficiency, including Microsoft Office and email.
Ability to learn ticketing software and point-of-sale systems.
Strong attention to detail and ability to handle confidential information.
Dependable, punctual, and able to work independently and as part of a team.
Salary and Hours:
Students are paid the current minimum wage for Maryland.
Students will work a total of eight (8) hours per week.
