Overview:
We're seeking an Instrumentation & Electrical (I&E) Engineer to help design, maintain, and optimize automation, control, and power distribution systems across upstream, midstream, and downstream facilities. In this role, you'll collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to support regulatory compliance, maximize facility uptime, and execute capital and maintenance projects from design through startup—making a direct impact on safe, reliable operations.
Required Skills:
- Strong foundation in electrical and instrumentation (I&E) design
- Experience supporting or implementing process control systems in industrial environments (plant and/or pipeline facilities)
- Ability to develop/review technical documentation such as: P&IDs loop diagrams and instrument specifications electrical one-line diagrams cause-and-effect matrices
- Working knowledge of industrial controls and automation environments (architecture, field instrumentation, controls lifecycle support)
- Proficiency with engineering/design tools such as AutoCADStrong communication skills (written and verbal) and ability to work independently and collaboratively
- Nice to Have Skills: Experience configuring, programming, and troubleshooting: DCS PLCs SISFamiliarity with industry standards related to documentation, control strategies, safety systems, loop tuning, and regulatory control environments
- Exposure to Honeywell systems and Allen Bradley PLCsExperience with FAT/SAT, loop checks, startup support, and troubleshooting
Preferred Education and Experience:
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Instrumentation, or a related ABET-accredited discipline 5+ years of experience performing I&E / process control functions for plant and pipeline facilities
