Vice President of New Business Development

About the Role: The Company is seeking a Vice President of New Business Development to drive merchant growth and expand partnerships within an assigned industry. This individual contributor role covers the full business development cycle, from researching and qualifying prospects to negotiating agreements, closing partnerships, and supporting client onboarding and launch. Responsibilities include assessing merchant needs, shaping tailored solution proposals and commercial terms with cross-functional teams, and supporting Client Success to align expectations with delivery. The role also involves developing ecosystem partnerships, maintaining sales records, representing the organization in the market, and contributing to strategic planning and research. Candidates should have a proven record of closing enterprise merchant deals in payments, lending, point-of-sale financing, installment payments, or branded cards, along with a strong network in relevant consumer or B2B industries. Required strengths include strategic thinking, hands-on execution, negotiation, financial acumen, and excellent communication and executive presentation skills. Experience in early-stage environments and the ability to collaborate, manage multiple workstreams, and help shape strategy and solutions are important.
