About the Role: We are seeking an experienced Training Coordinator II to support companywide Learning & Development programs for a large, multi-location organization with approximately 3,000 employees. This is a contract-to-hire opportunity paying up to $33/hour and is ideal for someone who enjoys the operational side of training—coordinating classes, managing schedules and training records, supporting instructors, and making sure training sessions run smoothly. The ideal candidate is highly organized, strong in Microsoft Excel, technically comfortable, and experienced coordinating multiple training programs and schedules simultaneously.
Responsibilities: Coordinate instructor-led, virtual, field-based, and online training programs for employees, supervisors, and leaders. Manage training calendars, scheduling, enrollment, communications, manager approvals, attendance, cancellations, waitlists, and prerequisites. Coordinate training rooms, technology, furniture, monitors, workstations, materials, catering, travel, and instructor needs. Ensure classroom technology and equipment are set up and functioning properly before training sessions. Support Zoom and hybrid training sessions, including invitations, attendance, breakout rooms, and participant materials. Maintain detailed employee training records using Microsoft Excel, including training completion, certifications, licenses, and renewal dates. Research and correct incomplete, inaccurate, or duplicate training records. Prepare recurring training reports for Learning & Development, Human Resources, Operations, and leadership. Coordinate training across multiple locations, departments, shifts, and employee populations. Prepare facilitator guides, presentations, participant workbooks, job aids, rosters, evaluations, and certificates. Provide administrative and classroom support to trainers and subject matter experts. Facilitate selected orientations, system demonstrations, and professional-development sessions. Assist subject matter experts with organizing technical information into clear, practical training materials. Support training documentation and record requests for audits. Coordinate translation or bilingual training support when needed.
Qualifications: 2+ years of experience coordinating employee training, Learning & Development programs, or a closely related function. Strong Microsoft Excel skills with experience maintaining detailed trackers, records, or reports. Experience coordinating training logistics including scheduling, enrollment, facilities, materials, technology, and attendance. Comfortable supporting in-person, virtual, and hybrid training environments. Strong technical aptitude with the ability to troubleshoot basic classroom and meeting technology. Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple training schedules and priorities. Excellent communication and follow-through when working with employees, managers, instructors, and vendors. Experience facilitating orientations, system demonstrations, or employee training is preferred.
