Heavy Duty Truck and Trailer Technician 649P TX

Key Responsibilities: Diagnose and repair mechanical systems on semi-trucks and trailers, including:

• Brakes
• Steering & SuspensionHVAC systems
• DrivetrainsElectrical systems
• Preventative Maintenance (PM) inspections
• Conduct fleet inspections and perform scheduled maintenance.
• Operate diagnostic tools and equipment to troubleshoot issues accurately.
• Perform tire-related services as needed (mounting, balancing, repairing).Use and maintain Tire Pressure Monitoring Systems (TPMS).Maintain detailed records of work performed.
• Adhere to all safety guidelines, company policies, and DOT regulations.
• Respond to roadside service calls using a company service truck when required.
• Assist with parts inventory and shop organization.
• Complete other duties as assigned.

Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent (trade school certification a plus).Prior experience as a diesel mechanic, fleet technician, or heavy truck mechanic preferred. Strong mechanical knowledge and problem-solving ability. Must be able to lift/move tires and equipment (30–250 lbs., with or without mechanical aids).Valid driver's license with clean driving record. Must pass pre-employment drug screening. Willingness to work in varying conditions (weather, noise, physical demands).Must be available to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays. Overtime maybe required.
