The Manufacturing Engineer will have the opportunity to work with a collaborative team to support our nation's war fighters. This role will serve as an Engineer for manufacturing activities at CMF in support of Defense programs. This role will work closely with engineering teams across Leidos Manufacturing sites and communicate between the teams. This is not a remote position.\n\nAs a Manufacturing Engineer you will be overseeing and optimizing the production process, from raw materials to finished products, to ensure efficiency and quality. This position will support our Thermal Protection System (TPS). Apply and share your resume with us today!\n\nPrimary Responsibilities\n\n\nImplementing procedures & techniques to transform raw materials into finished products efficiently and effectively.\nUse of MES software (Solumina) to implement, track, monitor, and control manufacturing processes, ensuring quality, efficiency, and compliance.\n and maintenance of Manufacturing Bill of Materials (mBOMS).\nGenerate routings inside Solumina to account for accurate run times.\nIdentify and execute on continuous improvement projects.\nIdentify and reduce risks in the production processes.\nPlan and maintain production flow through MRP system, including change management and make/buy designation.\nResponsible for executing Configuration & Data Management processes & controls for managing & tracking changes.\nDefines manufacturing processes, procedures and production flow for assembly, integration & test of products.\nCoordinate production workflow for one or multiple projects. Organize and schedule production activities, and resources, including materials, equipment, and personnel, to meet production goals.\nResolve problems related to production jobs such as configuration changes, engineering changes, material issues, schedule priority, etc.\nOverseeing & optimizing the production process, from raw materials to finished products, to ensure efficiency and quality.\nCollaborate with Engineering, Quality Assurance, Operations Leads, and Inventory Control.\nExpedite jobs as required & clearing any material shortages.\nManage ISO9001/AS9100 processes within the department.\n \n\nBasic Qualifications\n\n\nBachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering Industrial Engineering, or Industrial and Systems Engineering with minimum 2 years of applicable experience.\nMust be capable of performing in a collaborative engineering environment working closely with multi-disciplinary teams.\nExperience with CNC Mill and Lathe machining.\nCritical thinking experience.\nTwo years of experience with Manufacturing, Assembly & Integration experience with machining, and/or mechanical components.\nExperience with utilizing MRP and experience with ERP/PLM/MES systems.\nProficient understanding of GD&T.\nExperience with ISO9001/AS9100 processes.\nExperience with contactless structured blue light scanning\nIntermediate proficiency with Solid Works.\nCandidate must be a of the Colorado Springs area or willing to relocate to the Colorado Springs, CO area.\nCandidate must be a US and possess (and be able to maintain) a Final Secret Clearance OR meet the eligibility to obtain (and maintain) a Secret Clearance.\n \n\n\n Qualifications\n\nExperience with manufacturing, assembly, integration, procedure development & implementation.\nExperience with composite machining.\nHands-on experience with machining, mechanical and/or structural assembly processes and equipment including some of these: mechanical assembly, composite machining, etc.\nExperience with contactless structured blue light scanning\nExperience in project scheduling, Windchill configuration management & Solumina MES software.\n 6 Sigma and Lean experience for solid RCA capabilities.\nModerate experience in data analytics and data querying.\nPFMEA's, Capability studies, Gauge R&R.\nDeltek, Costpoint ERP & MRP, Solumina, Windchill.\nKnowledge with AS6500 manufacturing management program.\nModerate knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite.\n \n\n\n\n\n\nIf you're looking for comfort, keep scrolling.
