General Overview We are looking for an experience SigmaFlow Data Engineering Subject Matter Expert to lead the development, maintenance, and optimization of data processing solutions built around SigmaFlow. This individual will play a key role in maintaining dependable data operations, improving workflow efficiency, and enabling seamless connectivity between data platforms and enterprise applications. This individual should bring a strong foundation in database engineering, data integration, and workflow automation, along with the ability to troubleshoot complex technical challenges and provide hands-on guidance across engineering and operational teams.
Responsibilities
Platform Engineering & Workflow Development:
- Lead the technical design and ongoing enhancement of SigmaFlow-based processing environments.
- Build and maintain automated workflows supporting scheduled and event-driven data operations.
- Identify opportunities to improve platform throughput, resiliency, and operational efficiency.
- Investigate and resolve complex workflow errors, processing delays, and data inconsistencies. Data Management & Database Development
- Develop and maintain connections between SigmaFlow and enterprise database platforms, including SQL-based and cloud-native solutions.
- Create and optimize SQL queries, database objects, and data structures supporting reporting and application requirements.
- Implement processes that maintain data accuracy, traceability, and consistency across integrated systems.
- Support data lifecycle management, including ingestion, processing, retention, and archival activities. Technical Integration & Solution Design
- Partner with engineering and architecture teams to establish efficient data movement and integration patterns.
- Facilitate connectivity between operational applications, enterprise platforms, and centralized data repositories.
- Contribute to deployment automation and release management practices for platform and supporting code.
- Apply established security, governance, and architectural standards throughout implementation. Production Reliability & Technical Leadership
- Serve as an escalation resource for complex platform and data-related incidents.
- Lead technical investigations and corrective actions to prevent recurring operations issues.
- Develop technical documentation, support procedures, and platform standards.
- Provide knowledge sharing and technical guidance to engineers and other platform users.
Requirements:
5+ years of experience in data engineering, data integration, platform engineering, or related technical disciplines.
Practical experience configuring, developing, and supporting SigmaFlow solutions.
Working knowledge of Python for automation, scripting, and data processing.
Strong SQL development capabilities and experience with relational database concepts.
Experience supporting enterprise-scale data environments and production processing systems.
Experience working within Linux or Unix environments.
Familiarity with Git or other source control technologies.
Exposure to ETL platforms, workflow automation, or scheduling frameworks.
Understanding of production monitoring, system logging, and alert management.
Preferred Qualifications:
Background supporting energy, utilities, infrastructure, or other complex operational environments.
Experience with streaming, even-driven, or low-latency data processing.
Familiarity with cloud-based data ecosystems and hybrid infrastructure.
Knowledge of data governance, metadata standards, and enterprise data controls.
Exposure to DevOps methodologies, container technologies, or automated deployment practices.
