Chief Financial Officer

About the role: Most finance leaders reconcile a bank statement. Here you will also reconcile two public blockchains. We are looking for a founding CFO to own the books, the treasury, and the plan for a live on-chain platform whose money moves in U.S. dollars, in ETH, and in our own token, and who is willing to accept early-stage risk in exchange for a founding-level opportunity. Where we are today (please read first) We want to be direct about our stage:* Pre-revenue.* Pre-equity financing. We have not yet raised a priced equity round, and you will help prepare the company for it.* Pre-token sale. Our token offering is built, but the sale is paused and no tokens have been sold. Token trading is not enabled.* Our custom accounting system is built and running. It already records activity from our bank, our card processor, and both blockchains, and it needs a finance officer to own it, shape it, and close the books. Every number the board and investors see will run through your desk.

About US: SEUSSE is a Delaware corporation building a compliance-first, privacy-centric blockchain platform, where a user's wallet is their account and their identity. The platform went live on Ethereum and Base on July 4, 2026.The money you will manage:* U.S. dollars in our operating bank account, including card payments for our verification services.* ETH on Ethereum and on Base, an Ethereum Layer 2 network. Platform fees are paid in ETH, and smart contracts divide them between designated wallets under rules anyone can read. ETH also pays the network costs of running the platform.* USSE, our own token. 7 billion were minted at launch, and most are held by the company's contracts and wallets. With no trading market yet, USSE has no market price, and accounting for it honestly is part of the job.* A planned private token offering for verified accredited investors, which will bring its own proceeds accounting, investor records, and reporting. The accounting system you will own:* Our own double-entry accounting system, custom-built for a company whose money lives both on and off the blockchain, and the company's system of record. It is not an off-the-shelf package: it will keep growing around what you need from it.* Automatic capture of money movement from the bank, the card processor, and both blockchains, including the network fees the company pays.* Daily price marks for valuing digital assets, and hourly balance snapshots of every company wallet.* Journals, a trial balance, a balance sheet and profit and loss, a period close with a checklist, and reconciliation with an exceptions queue for anything that does not match.

The role: As a founding executive and the company's senior finance authority, you will own the numbers: what the company has, what it spends, what it earns, and what it can afford next, across dollars, ETH, and USSE. You set financial strategy, keep the books yourself when needed, and bring in outside accountants and auditors where specialist depth is needed. Two things shape the job. The first is control: company funds move only after a separate request and approval, and you will keep that discipline both strict and fast. The second is digital-asset accounting: valuing and reporting assets that trade around the clock, and one that has no market yet, in a way an auditor will accept. What you will own* The ledger and the close: journals, the monthly close, and the trial balance, balance sheet, and profit and loss.* The accounting system's roadmap: you decide what it does next and which reports and controls it adds, and our engineers build it to your specification.* Treasury across U.S. dollars, ETH on two networks, and USSE, reconciled to the bank and to the blockchain.* Valuation and accounting policy: how digital assets are priced, recorded, and reported, including our own token before it has a market.* Revenue and costs: fees from the platform and our verification services, and the network costs of operating it.* Planning and reporting: budgets, runway, scenarios, and the financial story told to the board and investors.* Controls, tax, and audit readiness: approvals, payments, payroll and benefits, tax filings, and outside accountants and auditors. We will go through the specifics of each area with candidates during the interview process.

Qualifications: Required* 10+ years in finance and accounting, including senior finance leadership such as CFO, VP of Finance, or Controller.* Deep double-entry accounting knowledge: accrual accounting, the close, and financial statements you can defend line by line. A CPA is welcome but not required.* Working knowledge of digital-asset accounting under U.S. GAAP, including fair-value measurement, cost basis, and network fees.* Experience owning finance at an early-stage company, from the board model to categorizing a transaction yourself.* A genuine willingness to accept early-stage risk in exchange for ownership. Strongly preferred* Audit or public accounting background.* Experience shaping finance systems with engineers: writing the requirements and testing what gets built.* Accounting for a securities offering: proceeds, investor records, and reporting.* Treasury management across bank accounts and digital-asset wallets, and internal controls design.* Comfort checking a number at its source on a blockchain explorer, rather than trusting a report. How you work* You notice when one person can both request and approve a payment, and you fix it before it matters.* When two numbers disagree, you find out why instead of picking one.* You would rather tell the board an uncomfortable number early than a comfortable one late. Where you will work This role is based at our corporate office in Hutchinson, Kansas. You can start on a hybrid schedule, and you will then relocate to Hutchinson to work in person. We will agree the timing with the right candidate. Compensation and risk This role is built for someone who wants a real stake in what they help build. Compensation is negotiated with the right candidate and is expected to include:* Cash compensation* Founding executive equity, with standard vesting* Token-based compensation, where offered, subject to definitive agreements, vesting, lockups, and applicable securities laws Upside comes through ownership. No part of this role's compensation is tied to the amount of money raised. Please weigh the risk honestly. We are pre-revenue, we have not sold tokens, and we have not raised equity. Cash compensation may be limited or deferred until funding is secured, and equity or token-based compensation may ultimately be worth nothing. If you need a fixed, fully funded salary from day one, this is not the right role.
