They are expanding their team and seeking a Tax Associate to transition to a Broking position to support a growing portfolio. As a Tax Broker, you will assess and advise on tax risk policies for a range of transactions, working closely with carriers, legal professionals, and clients to structure tailored insurance solutions. This is an exciting opportunity for a corporate or tax professional (10+ years) looking to transition into a dynamic Broking role.
Key Responsibilities:
Assess tax risks associated with M&A transactions, corporate restructurings, and other financial arrangements Conduct in-depth analysis of tax opinions, legal documentation, and financial statements to evaluate risk exposure Collaborate with brokers, legal counsel, and internal teams to structure and price tax liability insurance policies Monitor market trends, legislative changes, and case law developments to ensure informed underwriting decisions Assist in negotiating policy terms and conditions with brokers and clients Maintain and develop strong relationships with key stakeholders, including law firms, tax advisors, and insurers Support senior underwriters in growing their tax insurance portfolio
Ideal Candidate Profile:
Experience, 10+ years PQE in tax or corporate law from private practice, Big 4, or an in-house tax role Strong understanding of tax legislation, risk assessment, and structuring of transactions Ability to evaluate complex tax positions and identify key risks Interest in financial markets and the insurance sector Strong ability to explain technical tax issues to non-specialists Collaborative approach with the ability to work independently This position is remote but there is a preference for an East Coast based candidate
