Cost Accountant
Cost Accountant Job in Eau Claire Area A national manufacturing company in the Eau Claire area is looking to add a new Cost Accountant to their team. The company is growing rapidly, so it is an exciting time to be there!
Job Duties:
- Partner with Accounting Manager on month/year end close procedures
- Analyzes changes in product design, raw materials, manufacturing methods, or services provided, to determine effects on costs.
- Analyzes actual production costs and prepares periodic reports on variances
- Assist with forecasting and budgeting for division
- Maintain fixed asset registers
- Analyze and reconcile the general ledger accounts related to inventory
- Provide support for other accounting functions when needed
Job Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- At least 2 years of relevant (cost accounting) experience
- Strong Microsoft Excel skills
- Ability to work independently
- Ability to interact and communicate with upper-level management on a daily basis
