At Market HR Services in Wichita (markethrservices.com), you carry your own set of client payrolls — multiple employers, different pay calendars, different tax and deduction rules — from employee setup through direct deposit, garnishments, exceptions, and the follow-up that closes the loop. Our clients outsource payroll and HR to us because they want a person who knows their account, not a 1-800 queue. On your accounts, that person is you. The work Own assigned client payroll cycles on time: employee and salary records, checks and direct deposits, correct treatment of taxes, benefits, and deductions, and up-to-date documentation. Process and monitor garnishments; catch uncollected payroll, tax, or benefit-treatment errors, and data discrepancies before they reach a client. Answer clients directly by phone, email, and CRM. Explain the issue plainly, document the next step, and carry it to resolution. Escalate tax and policy questions above your authority with the facts and paperwork intact. As you absorb recurring volume, help shape how we deliver payroll for a growing client base — banks among them. How you startA two-to-three-month ramp in our systems and controls, working on live client companies, with review that tapers as you prove accuracy. Early success looks like routine payrolls done clean with decreasing review, problems raised before deadlines, and less chasing for the rest of the team.
Pay and benefits: Hourly pay on a wage grid that rises with experience and pays a premium for the Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) credential. 401(k) with company match; health, dental, and vision insurance; HSA or FSA; life insurance; paid time off; tuition reimbursement. Full-time, Monday–Friday, typically 40–45 hours a week. The trade The work is deadline-driven, repetitive in places, and unforgiving of loose documentation. The seat exists because the team is carrying significant volume, and we'll ask you to take meaningful ownership of your work; we're a growing operation, not a quiet payroll desk. Training and onboarding take place at the Wichita office. Limited work-from-home flexibility may follow once you've mastered the systems; it is earned, not promised. This is NOT a fully remote role. What we need to see At least two years of hands-on payroll processing or administration; three to five preferred. Full-cycle ownership: setup, payments, records, tax and benefit treatment, garnishments, exceptions. Payroll for multiple clients, entities, EINs, or locations — shown in the work, not the title. Strong systems aptitude and spreadsheet skills; accurate entry and disciplined documentation under recurring deadlines. Client communication and issue ownership, with confidentiality and sound judgment in escalation. Able to work in the Wichita office through training; valid driver's license; Fundamental Payroll Certification at hire or within your first year. Ideal (not required): PEO, ASO, payroll bureau, accounting firm, or banking payroll background; iSolved, Paylocity, ADP, or a comparably complex payroll and tax system; the CPP.If you've been the person who quietly makes payroll right and want clients, ownership, and a growing platform to match, apply and tell us about the payrolls you've personally run. See who we are and whom we.
