Apply for this role →North Dublin | Manufacturing | Senior Leadership Opportunity An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Purchasing & Supply Chain Manager to join a well-established and growing manufacturing business based in North Dublin. Reporting to the Operations Leadership Team, you will take overall responsibility for the purchasing, procurement and supply chain functions, ensuring security and continuity of supply while driving improvements across forecasting, inventory management, supplier performance and planning. This is a strategic and hands-on leadership position with significant scope to influence business performance. You will lead a team, develop supplier partnerships and work closely with colleagues across Operations, Sales, Finance and Warehouse to improve efficiency, optimise working capital and support the company's continued growth.
Responsibilities:
Develop and implement purchasing and supply chain strategies aligned with overall business objectives. Lead, develop and motivate the purchasing and supply chain team, promoting a culture of accountability, collaboration and continuous improvement. Own demand planning, forecasting and inventory optimisation, balancing customer service requirements with working capital objectives. Develop and maintain strong, strategic supplier relationships, monitoring performance and identifying opportunities to improve cost, quality, service and reliability. Oversee purchasing activities including replenishment planning, supplier scheduling and inbound supply management. Drive the ongoing development of Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) processes and support the implementation and optimisation of planning and inventory management systems. Establish and monitor key supply chain KPIs, using data and analysis to identify trends, improve performance and support effective decision-making. Partner with internal stakeholders to improve OTIF performance, optimise stock levels and support successful new product introductions. Identify and implement initiatives to strengthen supply chain resilience, mitigate supply risks and improve overall operational agility. Lead process improvement and change initiatives across the purchasing and supply chain functions.
Requirements:
We are looking for an experienced supply chain professional who combines strong commercial and analytical capability with effective leadership and stakeholder management skills. You will have:5+ years' experience in a senior Purchasing, Procurement or Supply Chain Management role, ideally within a manufacturing, engineering or distribution environment. Proven experience across strategic purchasing, supplier relationship management, demand planning and inventory management. A strong understanding of forecasting, S&OP and supply chain planning principles. Experience working with ERP systems and demand planning or inventory optimisation software. Strong analytical, commercial and problem-solving capabilities, with the ability to turn data into meaningful business decisions. Excellent leadership, communication and stakeholder management skills. A proactive, commercially focused and results-driven approach. Demonstrable experience leading change, improving processes and delivering continuous improvement initiatives.
