Description:
American Traveler seeks a Certified Surgical Technologist with strong Neuro, Spine, and Ortho experience for a hospital surgical services position. Details Hospital Surgical Services department, Certified OR Tech / CST role5x8 day and evening shifts with variable start times ranging from 0645 to 2330 Weekend rotation included in the schedule On-call required Occasional floating to other campus locations within the health system1:1 patient ratio Epic charting system experience preferred
Requirements:
- CST certification (NBSTSA) requiredBLS certification (AHA) required
- License required if applicable
- High school diploma, GED, or equivalent required
- Minimum of 2 years of experience required, 3 years preferred
- Strong experience in Neuro, Spine, and Total Joint procedures required
- Experience with Neuro, Spine, Ortho, and DaVinci robotic systems required
- Teaching hospital experience required
- Community hospital experience required
- Trauma Level II experience preferred
Additional Information:
- Assist in preparing for and during surgery by performing routine and delegated duties according to departmental and hospital standards
- Support procedures across a broad range of specialties including vascular, orthopedic, neurosurgery, general surgery, urology, and robotics
- Maintain aseptic technique and follow infection control, sterilization, and PPE protocols
- Participate in Universal Protocol (time out) procedures and equipment documentation
- Handle specimen labeling, wound care, and suture removal as needed
- Work within a surgical team supporting a range of case types including robotic-assisted procedures
- Maximum RTO of 7 days per contract
- Only one holiday request approved per contract
- Holiday coverage includes New Year's Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day, and Christmas DayLocal candidates accepted at local rate within a 50-mile radius
- Returning staff or travelers must have a 1-year separation before being eligible to return
- First-time travelers considered based on meeting experience requirements
