Assistant/Associate/Full Professor (Tenure or Tenure Track)The University of Nevada, Las Vegas (UNLV) School of Nursing is seeking an Assistant Professor, Associate Professor or Full Professor (Tenure or Tenure Track). Primary responsibilities of an appointment are to (1) teach nursing courses consistent with area of expertise; (2) collaborate with other faculty in course development; (3) use teaching resources, such as Web Campus/Canvas to foster learning; (4) provide student supervision; (5) participate in school, university, professional and community service activities; (6) engage in research leading to publications in quality, refereed journals; and (7) seek internal and external grant funds. Classes in the School of Nursing are offered year-round, using a trimester sequence. The School of Nursing at UNLV offers CCNE-accredited programs leading to a BSN, MS (nurse practitioner and nurse educator tracks), DNP, and PhD (Educator and Interprofessional Health concentrations and DNP to PhD).The individual must hold a doctorate in nursing or a related field from an accredited college or university as recognized by the United States Department of Education and/or the Council on Higher Education Accreditation (CHEA). The individual must also hold or be qualified to hold a Nevada RN license and if selected applicant is subject to a one-time background check. Credentials must be obtained prior to the start of employment. Faculty rank will be dependent upon educational credentials, terminal degree, experience, and scholarly achievement. In the instance of tenure-track or tenured consideration, the rank and track will be based on UNLV School of Nursing criteria and review.
