Housekeeper / Cook Opportunity in Sarasota, FloridaA private family in Sarasota, Florida is seeking an experienced Housekeeper / Cook to join their household. The family consists of a couple residing in a 3-bedroom, 2.5-bath single-family residence on a casual rustic farm setting. They have two friendly dogs, so the ideal candidate must be pet-friendly and enjoy working around animals. This is a long-term, stable opportunity for an experienced private housekeeper who takes pride in maintaining a home to the highest standards while preparing healthy, family-style meals. The ideal candidate will have a strong hospitality mindset, excellent attention to detail, and enjoy working independently. The family offers optional private housing for the successful candidate. The housing is not a requirement of the position, and candidates who already live within a reasonable commuting distance of Sarasota are welcome to apply and may remain in their own home. Monday through Friday 9:00 AM to 4:00/5:00 PM. The candidate will have a consistent daytime schedule, with occasional flexibility for weekends when needed.
Responsibilities:
Perform detailed daily housekeeping throughout the residence Prepare healthy family-style breakfasts, lunches, dinners, and snacks Maintain kitchen cleanliness and organization Manage family laundry, ironing, and wardrobe care Keep the home beautifully organized and presentable Support the household as needed Run household errands Drive family members when required Assist with the family's dogs, including feeding, walking, and transporting them to grooming or veterinary appointments
Candidate Requirements:
Minimum 5 years of private household experience Strong cooking skills with the ability to prepare healthy family-style meals Excellent housekeeping, organization, and laundry skills High attention to detail and professional standards Discreet, dependable, and trustworthy Comfortable working independently and as part of a household team Flexible schedule with occasional weekend availability Valid driver's license with a clean driving record Valid U.S. work authorization Fluent in English Compensation & Benefits$58,000–$62,000 annually, depending on experience Paid Time Off (PTO)Optional private housing available Long-term, full-time opportunity
