Apply for this role →We are currently recruiting for a Senior Buyer (Sr Sourcing Analyst) in Milwaukee, WI (North side) with manufacturing industry experience. This role is onsite 5 days. The Senior Buyer will lead sourcing activities related to new product development and current products in assigned commodity space. Must have experience with commodities such as castings, metal fabrication, hydraulics, drivetrains, engines, or plastics. You will also develop, implement and drive Category/Subcategory as well as Supplier Strategies. 90K – 115K Base + Bonus + Benefits Package (could go up to 125K+ if candidate has 12-15+ years of experience).
Responsibilities:
- Drive cost reduction initiatives and optimize supplier relationships while leveraging deep sourcing expertise
- Manage $30 - $50 million commodity spend, develop sourcing strategies, and collaborate with key cross-functional teams
- Lead negotiations and execute master supplier agreements
- Analysis of purchase volumes within category to drive supplier consolidation, cost reduction, product portfolio/supplier capability efficiency
- Manage quoting and negotiations
- Lead supplier selection process for both Global and Regional strategies on both current product and New Product Development components
- Mentor, coach, and train new Sourcing team members
Requirements:
- BS in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or equivalent experience
- Expertise in strategic sourcing and commodity management 5+ years of experience in manufacturing
- Exposure to commodities such as castings, metal fabrication, hydraulics, drivetrains, engines, or plastics
Working knowledge of master supplier agreements and cost breakdown methodologies.
Strong communication and negotiation skills
Understand timeline development and cost structures
Open to 20% to 30% travelAPICS Certification a plus
Local candidates only. Must be in a commutable range to Milwaukee (north side). No sponsorship. Must be a US citizen or green card holder (permanent resident). 90K – 115K Base + Bonus + Benefits Package
