Apply for this role →Key Responsibilities:
Assist with the design and development of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing (MEP) systems for commercial and residential buildings. Prepare and modify engineering drawings using AutoCAD and Revit. Assist with HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and other building-system layouts and calculations. Support preparation of construction documents, design calculations, specifications, and technical reports. Perform field surveys and assist with documenting existing building conditions. Coordinate MEP designs with architectural, structural, and other engineering disciplines. Assist senior engineers with project coordination, site visits, and construction administration. Review applicable building codes, standards, and project requirements. Maintain accurate project documentation and meet project schedules.
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing Engineering, or a related engineering discipline.0–3 years of MEP/building design experience; internships or co-op experience are welcome. Basic knowledge of building MEP systems and engineering design principles. Proficiency in AutoCAD; knowledge of Revit MEP/BIM is preferred. Strong analytical, communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills. Ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
EIT certification or progress toward obtaining EIT.Experience with commercial, residential, institutional, or facilities projects. Familiarity with applicable NY/NJ building codes and industry standards. Exposure to HVAC, electrical, plumbing, fire protection, or building systems design.
