About Deep Blue: Deep Blue Sports + Entertainment is the first firm in the world dedicated exclusively to driving commercial investment in women's sports. Founded in 2023 by Laura Correnti, Deep Blue partners with the world's leading brands, leagues, teams, and athletes to turn the momentum in women's sports into measurable business outcomes..
The Role: The Senior Account Director is the day-to-day lead for Deep Blue's brand clients and the operational backbone of every engagement. You own client service end to end: the relationship, the workflow, the budget, and the communication that keeps everyone aligned. This is a front-foot role. You know what is happening before anyone else does, anticipate what the client and the market will need next, and bring it to the table before it is asked for. You are the person the client calls first and the person the internal team relies on to keep work moving with precision.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Client Service Leadership
  • Serve as the primary day-to-day lead and trusted partner for Deep Blue's brand clients
  • Build deep knowledge of each client's business, category, competitive set, and goals in women's sports
  • Anticipate client needs and market shifts, and bring forward proactive recommendations and opportunities
  • Identify organic growth opportunities within existing accounts and partner with leadership to develop them
  • Escalate risks early, with a clear point of view on the solution
  • Workflow Stewardship
  • Own the end-to-end workflow for every engagement: scopes, timelines, milestones, and deliverables
  • Build and maintain project plans, and hold internal and external teams accountable to them
  • Ensure every deliverable meets Deep Blue's quality standard before it reaches the client
  • Establish and continuously improve account processes, tools, and operating rhythms
  • IAT Team Management
  • Proactively manage IAT team needs: staffing, resourcing, priorities, and capacity
  • Flag resource gaps before they become delivery issues, and propose solutions
  • Ensure the team has the client context, briefs, and direction needed to do its best work
  • Client and External Communications
  • Oversee all client and external communications, ensuring they are accurate, timely, and on-brand
  • Deliver regular project status updates across all active workstreams
  • Prepare agendas and pre-reads for client meetings, calls, and working sessions
  • Recap key details, decisions, and next steps within 24 hours of every client touchpoint
  • Manage communications with external partners, including leagues, teams, talent, vendors, and agency partners
  • Budget Management
  • Own client budgets from scope through reconciliation, including estimates, tracking, and forecasting
  • Monitor scope delivery and overages
  • Partner with Finance on invoicing, change orders, and account p&l
  • Team Leadership
  • Oversee and develop the Project Management team, setting clear expectations and standards
  • Provide ongoing coaching and feedback, and model the rigor and client-first mindset expected across the team
Who You Are: On the front foot. You see what is coming before anyone else. You track the market, the client's business, and the women's sports landscape, and you act on it before being asked. A process expert who owns the details. You build systems that make complex work run smoothly, and nothing slips through the cracks on your watch. Diligent in delivery. Status updates, recaps, agendas, and pre-reads go out on time, every time, and they are clear, concise, and accurate. A trusted client partner. Senior clients rely on your judgment, and you are comfortable steering conversations and pushing back when needed. A strong leader. You develop the people around you and raise the bar for how the team operates. Passionate about women's sports. You understand the commercial opportunity in women's sports and want to help build it.
