Apply for this role →Pediatric Hospitalist Opportunity Iredell Health System is seeking a full-time Pediatric Hospitalist (Pediatrics Board Certified or Board Eligible) to support a Level I Newborn Nursery and inpatient pediatrics at Iredell Memorial Hospital in Statesville, North Carolina. Program Highlights Level I Newborn Nursery with approximately 700 deliveries per year Inpatient pediatrics averaging ~2 patients per day No ICU/NICU coverage Strong tertiary referral center support with streamlined transfer options for higher acuity care Schedule 24-hour shifts Flexible scheduling within the team to promote coverage stability and work–life balance
Responsibilities:
Routine newborn nursery care (assessment, rounding, parent counseling, discharge planning)General inpatient pediatric care (admissions, daily management, discharge coordination)Clear communication with families and collaboration with OB, ED, nursing, and ancillary services
Requirements
Required Qualifications:
MD/DOBoard Certified or Board Eligible in Pediatrics Eligible for/holds North Carolina medical licensurePALS required Neonatal resuscitation credential: NRP accepted (NALS also accepted per role/policy)
